Oh man guys. School is getting to me already and I've only had three days. I drank my first cup of coffee, EVER last night. I hate caffeine so much but I just had to. Sigh. So just a heads up, that I won't be posting 7-8 times a week like I have the last few months, but it'll be at least 4-5. I'll be here y'all!
♥The igloo hotel in Kakslauttanen, Finland. Get up close and personal with the northern lights. Yes, please!
Built from a special thermal glass the temperature inside the igloo always stays at a normal level. It also prevents the glass from not getting white frosted, hence keeping the view clear even when the temperature outside drops to under -30°C. Every igloo is equipped with a toilet and luxury beds. On every evening a hot sauna and a refreshing ice hole are waiting for you.
♥Eight things I learned from 50 naked people. (And no, not me, the author)
♥This awesome video of what women have looked like through the centuries.
♥Super cool pictures of bioluminescence in action
♥Jasmine shares fall television shows you should be watching.
♥The awkward years project:
Remember the years between being a cute kid to the awesome person you are today? I'm talking about your awkward years. I want to share a collection of people sharing their most awkward years and show how great of people they turned out to be. To all of you who are struggling out there, and those that love before & after portraits, this project is for you!
♥Goodreads's list of Movers & Shakers every month always brings me some of my favorite new reads.
♥Kayte makes it easy with seven tips for travelers.
♥My favorite tumblr for travel pictures: Exquisite-planet.
♥Lena Dunham's awesome response to her no-pants critics. #thightstillidie

Mmm. How I would love to stay in those little igloos.
ReplyDeleteHot tub, here I come.
And I watched the video of the woman evolving over time.
I have to say, it was pretty cool - and I was disappointed with all the super negative comments. People disappoint me.
That igloo hotel is unique and awesome looking! My friends went to Finland last year and stayed in an ice hotel. I want to go so bad!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to visit that igloo hotel! It's on my bucket list to see the Northern Lights :) I hope school doesn't harp on ya too much- I just started today and am already overwhelmed!
ReplyDeleteooh that hotel is awesome. would LOVE to go!
ReplyDeleteI know right? I read those and I was like come on guys...she must have spent SO many hours making that and they're complaining that she didn't portray black women or other groups. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I'm glad you thought it was cool too!
Lucky them!! That would have been a good time to hide in their suitcases!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, we just need to organize a blog conference there, or somewhere equally awesome!
ReplyDeleteOh I've seen the Northern Lights just not like that. I lived in Minnesota and we'd see them maybe every three or four years. And then two years ago on a trip to south France, our plane flew over Iceland at maybe 3 in the morning and we saw the Northern Lights from the plane. I think that was my favorite part of the trip--even more than France itself!
ReplyDeleteYou're first cup of coffee... welcome to the beginning of the end. Seriously, I did exactly the same thing and now I need one in the morning just to get my head together, haha.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I love Lena Dunham! Girls is my favourite show at the moment, I'm sad we have to wait til 2014 for the next season. I am happy to see her thighs til she dies! I just love the positive self image she puts out there and how she isn't worried about an unflattering view, lighting, scene, etc.
She's a one in a million kind of woman.
Girl, good luck! Three days in and you are going to be fabulous :) I just got lost in the gorgeous internet rabbit hole that is Exquisite-planet. Thanks so much for sharing! I also went to that lovely blue city in Morocco this summer and fell head over heels. How could you not?
ReplyDeleteHaha #thighstillidie!! I love just the idea of her,she and Jennifer Lawrence are my body-love heroes!
ReplyDeleteI KNOW, right?! So gorgeous. And you've BEEN there?? That's so not fair...
ReplyDeleteOMG!! that igloo hotel looks soooo amazing!!!! The northern lights are definitely on my bucket list of must-see things!!
